Amir Mizroch

Amir Mizroch is an Israeli journalist currently the editor of the English Newsletter Edition of Israel Hayom, Israel's most widely circulated daily newspaper. He was formerly the Executive Editor and News Editor of The Jerusalem Post newspaper. Prior to joining The Jerusalem Post, he worked as a TV News producer at the Mail & Guardian television in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mizroch joined the The Jerusalem Post in 2002 and served as the Managing Editor of the paper's website jpost.com. He was News Editor from 2004 to April 2010. On April 21 he was promoted to Executive Editor. He resigned in February 2011, after suffering a heart attack while on vacation.

Mizroch was born in Israel and raised in South Africa, returning to Israel in 2000. He has a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.

Apart from directing the newspaper's news coverage and editing much of the 'Post's content, Mizroch wrote stories and analysis for the paper on a regular basis. He keeps his own blog called Forecast Highs.

Mizroch won a [1] Certificate of Merit award for Journalism from the B’nai B’rithWorld Center for his [2] blog on American Jewish communities.

Mizroch is a member of the Bertelsmann Stiftung German Israeli Young Leaders Exchange program [3].
